Situated on a raised headland with views across Prince Rupert’s spectacular natural harbour and mountains beyond, The Crest Hotel is in a great location to enjoy the city. It is just a short stroll to the Museum of Northern BC, Cow Bay shopping district, city centre and minutes from BC & Alaska Ferries, Via Rail and Airline terminals. Guest rooms are traditional in character, and you can choose between city/mountain views or spectacular harbour views. Dine at the Waterfront Restaurant, although it may take a few moments to focus on the menu as an unobstructed view of the Prince Rupert Harbour captures your attention while watching the cruise ships sail past, and then enjoy a drink  out on the heated deck of Charley’s Lounge. The hotel has a fitness room, outdoor hot tub overlooking the harbour and a steam room.

In the area

Primarily known as the  place where VIA Rail and BC Ferries meet, Prince Rupert is a small port city with a spectacular location and has plenty to keep visitors occupied for a day or two!

Within the city, Cow Bay was once the one-stop spot for fish harvesters, who could tie up at the docks, and walk to any of the shops, cafes, or pubs and now it's the same for tourists and visitors alike! Here restaurants hug the waters edge to maximise the view over the harbour and offer fresh seafood and locally brewed beer. Nearby the Museum of Northern British Columbia houses exhibits on Northwest Coast peoples with ceremonial and cultural artifacts in a traditional longhouse. Prince Rupert is also the departure point for the journey to Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary, where visitors not only get the chance to see these legendary giants in their natural environment, but a whole host of other animals from Humpback Whales to Bald Eagles.
