Itinerary

Day 1 London to Calgary

Depart London Gatwick on Air Transat’s direct flight to Calgary. You will arrive independently at your hotel. The city is vibrant, and there is so much to see and do, maybe pay a visit to the new National Music Centre. Spend the night in Calgary.

Day 2-3 Calgary to Lake Louise

Departing in the morning, your scheduled transfer will take you on the 2 hours and 30 minute journey into the Rocky Mountains where you arrive at Lake Louise – a verdant shimmering lake reflecting the majesty of the Victoria Glacier. Lake Louise is known as the Crown Jewel of the Rockies, be sure to get your camera ready!

Day 4-6 Lake Louise to Banff

Time to leave Lake Louise behind and head onto the popular and charming town of Banff. Spend the next 3 nights in Banff which is known to be one of the Rockies' most popular mountain towns, with its bursting charm and breath-taking scenery, you will be sure to take home a true Canadian experience. There is plenty to do, you can take a dip and relax in the Banff Hot Springs or head up to Sunshine Mountain to take a trip on its gondola and glimpse the Rockies from up top.Spend your time at one of the most photographed lakes in the world and exploring the many hiking trails that surround it.

Day 7 Banff to Kamloops

Independently transfer to the Rocky Mountaineer Station to embark on a trip of a lifetime. Today you board the Rocky Mountaineer heading west to the Pacific Coast. This unique daylight service allows you to view some of the most spectacular sights in western Canada. The route departs the Rockies through Kicking Horse Pass, then climbs into the Selkirk Mountains following Rogers Pass. By late afternoon, you are in the arid ranchland of interior British Columbia, where you disembark for the night. Overnight in Kamloops. Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 8-9 Kamloops to Vancouver

Today your spectacular daylight rail excursion to Vancouver continues. The journey leads through the "cowboy country" ranchland of the British Columbia interior and along the mighty Thompson and Fraser rivers. Rugged mountain peaks and rolling, wind-swept hills will define the horizon as you traverse the interior and approach the Coastal Mountains surrounding Vancouver. Breakfast and lunch included. Upon arrival in Vancouver, transfer independently to your hotel where you will spend the next two nights embracing one of the most diverse cities. Nestled on the waterfront and surrounded by mountains; Vancouver has an abundance of things to see and do. Overnight in Vancouver.

Day 10 Vancouver to Holland America Cruise

Arrive independently at the cruise terminal in Vancouver’s wonderful Canada Place. Your cruise departs at 5pm.

Day 11 Scenic Cruising the Inside Passage

The Inside Passage is an enchanting scenic waterway stretching from Vancouver all the way up to Alaska, including some of Alaska’s beautiful islands that you will see along the way.

Day 12 Cruise Tracy Arm en route to Juneau, Alaska

Today you will cruise along Tracy Arm where you will see the majestic Sawyer Glacier, an awe-inspiring sight with an abundance of wildlife such as brown and black bears, moose, dear and wolves. You will continue South East onto Juneau, Alaska’s capital city where you will enjoy your first stop. We recommend a visit to Mendenhall Glacier whilst you are here. Depart at 10:30pm.

Day 13 Skagway, Alaska

Arrive in Skagway at 7am. Known as the best preserved Gold Rush town, Skagway is a very historical town with so much history and local charm to discover. Spend the day discovering the enchanting Gold Rush story and visiting the wonderful historical buildings that the gold prospectors built. Depart at 9pm.

Day 14 Glacier Bay

You will never forget the sound of the glaciers calving as it sends a hush through the whole ship and you take in the enormous cliff-flanked fjords and remarkable wilderness. Enjoy a day of cruising through Glacier Bay which is a wildlife lover’s dream with Humpback and Killer whales breaching the water below.

Day 15 Ketchikan, Alaska

Arrive in Ketchikan at 10am. Circled by lush green landscape and with evergreen mountains sprouting out of the waters, the surrounding area is breathtakingly beautiful due to the abundant rainfall of the rainforest environment. Explore the historical town. Depart at 6pm.

Day 16 Scenic Cruising the Inside Passage

Returning back to the city you will cruise the scenic Inside Passage again and keep your eyes peeled for the enchanting wildlife.

Day 17 Vancouver

Arrive at 7am. After disembarking, transfer independently to your hotel in Vancouver downtown. Today you will have the opportunity to visit the many top attractions that makes Vancouver what it is. Vancouver is known as one of the most favourable cities in the world. Overnight in Vancouver.

Day 18 Vancouver – End of Tour

With time to explore and complete a little souvenir shopping, you then depart the city of Vancouver for your return flight home.

ESTA online application for entry to the USA

Important: All cruise passengers must complete the online Visa Waiver form by visiting https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov which is needed for entry into the US at a cost of $14 per person.

You must complete an ESTA application at least 72 hours before flying. Any traveller who fails to complete an ESTA application at least 3 days before departure will almost certainly be refused entry into the country under new US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. If you are even considering visiting the States, it's worth filling out an ESTA application now as they are valid for two years. Important: If you are refused entry because you do not hold the correct travel documents or have had your application for ESTA rejected - you will NOT be entitled to any form of refund or covered by your travel insurance policy.
