Calgary
Arrive at Calgary International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the city, why not head up the Calgary Tower for views over the prairies and distant Rocky Mountains?
Lake Louise
It's time to head into the mountains as you join a full day sightseeing tour to Lake Louise. Start by travelling to Banff where you will enjoy a spectacular boat cruise on Lake Minnewanke (season dependent) and then continue with sightseeing some of the best sights around the town, including Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. After free time for lunch, take a journey up Sulphur Mountain on the Banff Gondola for spectacular views over the town and the Bow Valley. You will then be transferred to Lake Louise. The next day in Lake Louise is yours to explore independently. Paddle the lake by canoe, take a stroll by the lakeside or simply sit back and take it all in!
Banff
After a relaxing morning in Lake Louise, join a half day sightseeing tour of Yoho National Park and its many natural wonders including Emerald Lake and a stunning natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. At the end of the tour your will be transferred to Banff. The next day in Banff is yours to explore independently. This mountain town has plenty to see and do, from relaxing in the historic hot springs to outdoor wildlife adventures.
Jasper
Travel from Banff to Jasper on one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. After a photo stop at Bow Lake, you will stop at the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle and one of the most accessible icefields in North America. Here you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier to learn about its geological features. Lunch is provided at the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre. Afterwards, a brief stop will be made at Athabasca Falls before arriving in Jasper in the afternoon. After all this excitement you have a free day in Jasper to fully absorb the majestic scenery before you. Take a trip to Maligne Lake, paddle on Pyramid Lake, or simply relax in one of the friendly cafes.
Rocky Mountaineer to Quesnel
Step on board Rocky Mountaineer for a journey of a lifetime! You will begin by travelling over the Yellowhead Pass with mountains towering over you. The pinnacle is Mount Robson, which at 3,954 metres is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. As the train journeys through the forests of British Columbia, be sure to look out for wildlife. From inside Rocky Mountaineer's signature glass dome carriages you won't miss a thing!
Rocky Mountaineer to Whistler
Your journey on board Rocky Mountaineer continues towards the mountain town of Whistler. Enjoy breathtaking and varied scenery as you travel through the rolling hills and vast ranchlands of the Cariboo Plateau, the desert-like conditions of the Fraser Canyon and the river canyons and lush farmland of the Pemberton Valley.
Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver
You have the morning free to explore Whistler before you step back on board Rocky Mountaineer for the journey down to Vancouver. Travel through the stunning Sea to Sky Corridor, with views over the Coast Mountains, Brandywine Falls and Howe Sound.
Vancouver
Enjoy a free day in Vancouver to explore this spectacular coastal city. Take a stroll round Stanley Park, head over to Granville Island to discover a world of food, art and culture or take a shuttle bus over to the North Shore and the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, hanging 70 metres over the Capilano River.
Fly home
Your Canadian adventure has come to an end. Transfer independently to Vancouver International Airport for your flight home.
